Julian Romano (Kimberton Waldorf)
Hi, my name is Julian, I am a senior at Kimberton Waldorf School in Kimberton, PA. I am from Phoenixville PA and this past summer, I attended Loop Abroad's "Plight of the Thai Elephant" Program in Chiang Mai. It was a better experience than I ever thought would be possible; I wish everyone had the chance to go.
I love film, and anything to do with a video camera. I will be applying to film school this coming year. I’m on the board of TEDx which is a small branch of TED, an annual conference with presentations on "ideas worth spreading". I also ski raced at an Olympic level for six years before an injury prevented me from continuing. I play soccer and lacrosse. When I found out about Loop, I knew I had to find a way to go, even though it wasn't in our budget. I scheduled a bike-a-thon and raised my tuition the money by riding a bike 25 miles. So I know first-hand that anyone can go on this trip if they really want to. If you have any questions about Loop Abroad and the Thailand trip, please ask me!
