Team Leader

Julie Halpin will be graduating this spring from The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in strategic communications.

She has spent the last two summers serving as a team leader for a national leadership conference, which entails flying from state to state to set up and facilitate leadership activities for hundreds of middle school and high school students.

Julie was not only accountable for the safety and security of her students, but also responsible for planning and facilitating events and activities for her students and leading group discussions.

Julie organized and managed the first-year student experience for a leadership society at her university, including planning and running a first-year mentor program. Her experiences will be invaluable in helping our students plan for college admissions and think about how to optimize their first-year experience.

Julie is a leader in volunteer and service organizations at her school and in her community. She worked to coordinate a large-scale service project benefiting the Homeless Families Foundation and serves on the Columbus AIDS Task Force. She is a certified lifeguard and first aid provider.
