Carter was born and raised in Kansas where she grew up in Hutchinson, KS, and is going to school in Manhattan, KS. Carter earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Leadership Studies and a minor in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies from Kansas State University in 2019 and is currently attending school at the College of Veterinary Medicine at K-State. She is interested in exotic animal medicine, specifically with zoo animals and wildlife, and orthopedic surgery. Carter’s goal is to travel the world while being able to work with and help all types of animals and wildlife in their native environments. In her free time, she loves taking care of her many plants, going on walks/hikes with friends, and doing anything crafty. Carter traveled as a student with Loop Abroad to South Africa for a month studying zoo medicine and big cat conservation in the summer of 2022. She absolutely fell in love with traveling and working with different animals and people around the world, and she can’t wait to help other students have the same amazing experience abroad that she had!
