Aarthi Lokram
Group Leader
Aarthi is from Dallas, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Communications. In college, she led a pre-veterinary student organization, gained experience doing genetics research on sighthounds, and was a teaching assistant for a histology course. Growing up, she was given incredible opportunities to travel with her family, which fueled her passion for working with wildlife. Learning about diverse cultures and ecosystems through travel and abroad work is one of her main joys. She traveled to Costa Rica with Loop Abroad in 2023, and it changed her life! She gained unique animal care experiences and met an incredibly supportive group of people that inspired her to be a part of Loop Abroad faculty. Aside from her passion for veterinary medicine and traveling, Aarthi enjoys working out, listening to good music, and spending time with her two dogs, Sparky and Hazel. She can’t wait to share her love for this field with others!
