Allie Poole, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Allie Poole is a small animal and exotics emergency medicine veterinarian practicing in Atlanta, Georgia. She was born and raised in Kentucky where her love of animals and wildlife started. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from Berry College and went on to get her DVM at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. During her time in veterinary school, she was an orientation leader for new students as well as a tour guide for the college. After graduation, she completed a 6-month intensive internship in emergency medicine and then accepted an associate doctor position at the same company. Her veterinary interests include surgery, education, and forming client relationships during times of stress. As part of her love for education, Allie travels to veterinary schools to present lectures. Topics include Day in the Life as an ER Vet, 20 Lessons as a New Grad ER Vet, Top 5 Emergency Toxins, Top 5 Emergency Surgical Cases, and Medical Records 101. At home, Allie spends time with her furry friends Willett the mutt, Harlow the DSH, and Chappell the one-eyed Himalayan. If she were to pursue an alternative career, it would have been in interior design. Allie also loves to travel. A few of her favorite destinations are Thailand, Costa Rica, and the Galapagos Islands. Her next goal is to hike to Machu Picchu.
