Amber Wooters

Group Leader

Amber graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Management from the University of California, Davis in 2025 and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Animal Studies at New York University. Throughout her undergraduate studies, Amber gained hands-on experience working in small animal veterinary clinics and also explored her interest in equine rehabilitation. She is a certified equine massage therapist and enjoys learning about animal wellness, recovery, and behavior across a variety of species. Amber’s love for animals and travel has taken her around the world. During college, she completed a summer internship in Australia, where she worked at a wildlife habitat in Port Douglas and assisted with the care of native Australian wildlife. The experience deepened her appreciation for conservation work and inspired her desire to help students gain meaningful, hands-on experiences with animals. She also had the opportunity to study abroad in Greece, learning about Greek mythology. Currently living in New York City, Amber enjoys exploring the city whenever she has free time. You can often find her reading a book in the park, trying a new coffee shop, or sightseeing around the city. Despite living on the East Coast, she remains a loyal fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Amber’s dog, Sugar, is her constant companion and favorite sidekick. She also loves spending time with family and friends and is excited to continue sharing her passion for animals, travel, and education with others
