Angelina Biedak
Belize Support Staff
Angelina grew up in St. Charles, Illinois, and is currently a sophomore at the University of Illinois, majoring in Animal Sciences on the pre-veterinary track. She has always had a passion for animals and is working toward her goal of becoming a veterinarian. She works as a veterinary assistant at a local animal hospital, where she helps with exams and appointments, and loves getting to interact with a variety of furry patients. While at school, she fosters kittens, giving them a safe and loving home until they’re ready for adoption. She also volunteers at an animal shelter and has spent time assisting at spay and neuter clinics, gaining valuable experience in the field of shelter medicine. In January 2024, she participated in the CELA Belize Large Animal Veterinary Practice program, where she had the opportunity to work with livestock and learn about veterinary care in a tropical environment. On campus, she’s an active member of the Pre-Vet Club, connecting with others who share her enthusiasm for animal care. When she’s not busy with school or work, she loves to dance, whether it’s for fun or as a way to relax. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and, of course, snuggling with the kittens she fosters.
