Anna Taylor, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Anna Taylor grew up in Northern California and spent much of her free time searching for wildlife and marine mammals on the West Coast. She began volunteering at The Marine Mammal Center in high school and fell in love with pinnipeds (seals/sea lions) which inspired her to pursue a career in wildlife medicine. She attended UC Davis for undergrad and veterinary school and earned her BSc in Evolution, Ecology, and Biodiversity in 2019, and her DVM in 2024. During school, Dr. Taylor was involved with many wildlife rehabilitation and research programs and developed a strong interest in conservation, One Health, and community outreach. She has had the opportunity to work with many amazing animals including marine mammals, elasmobranchs, fish, birds, big cats, bears, and beavers! Dr. Taylor studied abroad at the University of British Columbia during undergrad and after vet school returned to Canada to work in a mixed animal practice on Vancouver Island. In her free time, Dr. Taylor loves tidepooling, aerial dance, watercolor painting, hiking with her partner and their dog, Edna, and learning to freedive!
