Brianna Wright
Group Leader
Brianna grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech in 2025 with a Bachelors of Science in Animal and Poultry Sciences. While in undergrad, she was an active member and club officer of the Virginia Tech Chapter of the American Collegiate Horseman’s Association, where she gained experience in equine reproduction, rehabilitation, and foal training. She also interned at the Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center, worked with the Virginia Tech Equitation barn, and was a TA for two undergraduate classes (Intro to Animal Science Lab and Equine Training and Marketing). Her first experience with Loop Abroad was in 2024, when she completed the Global Veterinary Semester Abroad and traveled to Costa Rica, Thailand, and South Africa. On this trip, she was able to work with elephants, turtles, companion animals, horses, reptiles, and big cats, including cheetahs! Her experience with Loop Abroad encouraged her to continue on a veterinary medicine path. Currently, Brianna is a veterinary student at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, and is interested in equine or exotic medicine. When she’s not studying, she enjoys SCUBA diving, playing volleyball, reading, painting or crocheting, and spending time with her dogs at home!
