Chelsea Smasal, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Smasal graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri. She has dedicated her career to the health and well-being of animals, with a strong interest in wildlife and conservation medicine. She has a passion for the One Health approach, recognizing the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. Dr. Smasal has completed internships at both zoos and aquariums nationwide as well as international field work, most recently in Honduras and South Africa. She currently resides in south Florida with her 3 dogs and 1 cat, and is a volunteer veterinarian at Loggerhead Marinelife Center. In her free time, Dr. Smasal loves to scuba dive, go to the beach, read, and spend time with family and friends!
