Corrin Markey, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Corrin Markey earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Master of Public Health (MPH) degrees from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. As part of her MPH project, Dr. Markey assisted with a project in Samburu, Kenya that focused on zoonotic disease surveillance efforts in camels. Some of her other clinical rotations focused on regulatory medicine, zoo medicine, and public health.
Dr. Markey is originally from the state of Maryland and moved to Pennsylvania after completion of veterinary school. Her first job out of veterinary school was working as a field veterinarian for the federal government, and she occasionally works at low-cost vaccine clinics in her community. Some of her career interests include One Health, aquaculture, and epidemiology.
In her spare time, Dr. Markey enjoys reading, sleeping, doing pilates, and hanging out with her canary, Trooper. A fun fact about Dr. Markey is that the first time she flew on a plane was when she went skydiving!
