Dóra Szilvia Kremán, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Dóra pursued her childhood dream when she began her studies at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Budapest, Hungary. In her second year, she became an intern at the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden, where she conducted her diploma research on red panda reproduction. After graduating, she completed a two-month externship at the Barcelona Zoo. Her collaboration with the Budapest Zoo team later led her to become an on-call veterinarian for the zoo, where she was involved not only in day-to-day treatments and medical training with various species but also in fieldwork and the operations of their rescue center. She also contributed to several publications. At the same time, she worked in small animal practice, where she developed skills such as performing surgeries and multitasking. In 2022, she earned certification as a qualified veterinary specialist in exotic animal medicine through a postgraduate training program. Recently, she joined Hungary’s only exotic animal clinic, which provides services nationwide. Here, she works with a wide variety of client-owned species, a challenge she finds highly rewarding. In her spare time, Dr. Dóra enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. She often goes for long-distance runs or hikes with her friends. In 2023, she walked the St. James Way in Spain, a life-changing experience for her.
