Faith Ramsey, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Faith Ramsey earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Biomedical Chemistry, with a minor in Physics from Kansas Wesleyan University. During her time there, she was part of the volleyball team and spent two semesters with the tennis team. Between undergrad and veterinary school, Dr. Faith had the opportunity to take part in a Disney College Program. This is where she learned about conservation medicine, and how veterinarians can play a major role in this field. She earned her DVM from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, where her passion for exotic, zoo, and wildlife species grew. Shortly after graduation, she completed the requirements to become a Certified Aquatic Veterinarian through the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association. During her fourth year clinical rotations, Dr. Faith had the honor of traveling to several zoological institutions, aquariums, and marine mammal rescue organizations to gain experience in the field. Since receiving her DVM, she has worked in exotic exclusive private practice, wildlife rehabilitation, and zoological medicine, while also doing relief work in small animal private practice and emergency medicine. Because of this wide variety of work, Dr. Faith has had the absolute joy of working with an expansive range of different species, from little neon tetras to huge African elephants. In her free time, Dr. Faith enjoys running, reading, crafting, going to the beach, doing puzzles, board games, and adventuring with her dungeons and dragons group.
