Genevieve Dumonceaux, DVM


Dr. G (as she is known) graduated from the University of Illinois in the United States. She is a diplomate of the European and American Colleges of Zoological Medicine. She has vast experience working on many species including elephants, giraffe, several types of hoofed stock, birds, reptiles, large and small carnivores from all over the world. She has performed studies in Nepal and has traveled to the Amazon jungle, the plains of Kenya, China, and Europe. Dr. G has provided veterinary service in zoo and aquarium facilities in the United States and in the Canary Islands. She is accomplished in remote drug delivery techniques and long gun handling and safety. She is trained in media relations and wild animal rescue and rehabilitation of ocean dwelling animals. She is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and she has been a kick boxing instructor. Dr. G loves hiking anywhere, reading, teaching and her two cats – Lotus and Minerva. 🙂
