Giullia Ribeiro Leite, DVM

Veterinarian

Giullia is a Brazilian veterinarian who graduated from the University of Cuiabá. She is currently specializing in Anesthesia, Emergency, and Intensive Care for wildlife animals. Throughout her career, she has gained diverse experience working with a wide variety of species. During the wildfires in the Pantanal region of Mato Grosso, she volunteered to help injured wildlife, including monkeys, coatis, anteaters, birds, ocelots, and many others. Giullia has completed internships in exotic pet clinics and small animal practices, as well as a wildlife internship in Costa Rica, where she worked with raccoons, opossums, deer, sloths, squirrels, foxes, various birds, and many other species. Additionally, she volunteered with horses in Spain. And all of this broadened her experience in veterinary care. She has a passion for neonatology and has worked with baby porcupines, owls, squirrels, opossums, and her favorite, the giant anteaters. Besides the giant anteater, she also loves ferrets, and many more, as she finds it impossible to choose just one. Beyond her veterinary career, Giullia is an avid adventurer and outdoor enthusiast. She is a certified rappelling instructor, a yoga teacher, a ceramist, and a scout. In her free time, she enjoys rappelling, camping, practicing yoga, playing board games, beach tennis, hiking with her Akita dog, Alaska, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and boyfriend. She is eager to share her experiences and adventures with her students.
