Hailey Mattice

Group Leader

Hailey is a veterinary student at Cornell University originally from Albany, NY. She graduated from Penn State in 2022 with a degree in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences. During her time in undergrad and at Cornell she has been an active member in both zoo and exotic animal student organizations, volunteered at a wildlife rehabilitation center, and has been a veterinary assistant in various small animal clinics. She also did a research project with dairy cows in undergrad. Additionally, she works as a student technician in the Cornell Universtiy Hopsital for Animals ICU. Her goal is to become an exotic animal veterinarian and her favorite species she has worked with so far are kangaroos and wallabies. Hailey is always happy to talk to students interested in going to veterinary school about her experiences or answer any questions they may have about veterinary school. Hailey Loves to travel and experience international wildlife and cultures. As a Loop Abroad Alumni, she has been on programs to both Australia and Costa Rica. She has also traveled to Thailand to participate in a Spay and Neuter clinic through her veterinary school and France. A goal of hers is to travel to every continent in the world. Besides traveling, Hailey loves snowboarding, the New York Yankees and spending time with her family, cat Coffee and three sugar gliders Nittany, Raider and Shuggie.
