Imogen Creighton-Syme, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Imogen Creighton-Syme is a passionate mixed animal veterinarian who earned her Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) from Massey University in Palmerston North, New Zealand—one of the leading veterinary schools in the Southern Hemisphere. Raised in the New Zealand countryside, her love for animals of all species began at a young age. After graduating, Imogen began her career at a mixed animal practice in rural New Zealand, where she treated everything from dairy cattle and sheep to alpacas, goats, and hawks. An avid traveler, she has journeyed extensively around Asia, Europe, and the Pacific, and has volunteered her veterinary skills in small communities in Niue and South Africa. Deeply committed to marine conservation, Imogen is a trained Marine Mammal Medic. While at home in New Zealand, she is on call to attend whale and dolphin strandings. She also recently volunteered in Borneo, working with sea turtles and contributing to coral reef restoration research. When not at the clinic, Imogen enjoys scuba diving, hiking, and paddleboarding—though she is just as likely to be found helping out on the family farm. She is most looking forward to meeting a diverse group of people and sharing her combined passions for wildlife conservation and veterinary medicine.
