Jullia de Pinho Borba, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Jullia went on to graduate from the Sao Paulo State University School of Veterinary Medicine. In 2015, she had the opportunity to do an exchange program in Australia. She studied at the University of Queensland (Brisbane and Gatton), where she also performed an investigation of retrovirus in dolphins. In her final year, she completed externships in zoo and wildlife medicine in Brazil and United States. She finished a 2-year residency in wildlife medicine in Cuiaba, where she had the opportunity to help rescue and rehabilitate animals from bushfires. Currently, she is working at La Aurora Zoo in Guatemala. She has worked with a great variety of animals, focusing on anesthesia and surgery. She is very passionate about animals and medicine. And she loves traveling, dancing, staying at home with family, and hanging out with friends.
