Veterinarian

Letícia is a Brazilian veterinarian born and raised in Brasília, the capital of Brazil. She earned her DVM degree from University of Brasília (UnB) and completed a postgraduate specialization in Clinical and Surgical Medicine of Wildlife, Exotic Animals, and Non-Traditional Pets at FAMESP. She is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Complementary Veterinary Medicine while serving as a volunteer extension veterinarian in the Wildlife Sector at UnB and working as a veterinarian at Exotic Life Veterinary Clinic. Throughout her undergraduate studies, Letícia completed extracurricular internships in veterinary hospitals and clinics focused on large animals, companion animals, and wildlife medicine. She also gained valuable experience through internships at aquariums and zoological institutions in several cities across Brazil. Her involvement in veterinary education extended beyond clinical practice, as she held leadership roles in study groups dedicated to canine medicine and wildlife medicine at university, national, and Latin American levels. In addition to her clinical training, she participated in scientific research projects involving veterinary pathology and wildlife clinical medicine. She also served as a teaching assistant for multiple courses during veterinary school, contributing to both academic activities and student development. Outside of her professional life, Letícia enjoys seeking new experiences, whether that means exploring a new destination, trying a different activity, or spending a relaxing evening at home watching movies and TV series. Indoor rock climbing is currently one of her favorite hobbies, although sports have always been an important part of her life. She is particularly passionate about travel, cultural exchange, and meeting people from different backgrounds.
