Paige Davenport was born in South Carolina and spent her childhood moving across different parts of the United States, an upbringing that nurtured her adaptability and deep curiosity about the natural world. No matter where she lived, she gravitated toward wildlife and wild spaces. She later earned her bachelor’s in animal studies, Biology, and Filmmaking from Eckerd College, where she explored the intersections of animal behavior, conservation, and storytelling. Paige has worked with a wide range of species across zoological, field research, and rehabilitation settings. Her experience includes caring for rhinos, hoof stock, primates, carnivores, reptiles, and marine life. She served as an Animal Care Manager at a rhino rehabilitation sanctuary in southern Africa, overseeing daily husbandry, habitat maintenance, ICU support, and a team of caretakers responsible for orphaned and recovering calves. She has also worked as an Associate Zoological Specialist at a major zoological institution, providing care for a dynamic veldt collection, collaborating with veterinary teams, and leading educational presentations for guests. Her professional conservation career began at just 17 years old, when she stepped into her first role as a zookeeper—an experience that solidified her passion for wildlife, public education, and protecting the environments animals call home. In her free time, Paige enjoys filmmaking, photography, hiking, soccer, and exploring new landscapes. She loves discovering local coffee shops, spending time outdoors, and planning her next adventure. Her passion for wildlife, storytelling, and global exploration continues to shape her career and fuel her commitment to conservation.
