Located in the stunning mountains four hours outside Chiang Mai city in the rural Mae Chaem district, BEES was founded by Burm and Emily in 2011. The sanctuary is a safe, natural home for elephants to just BE elephants. BEES is at the forefront for elephant welfare in a constantly changing and evolving world. The sanctuary leads by example and encourages the highest welfare standards possible.
