“Super fun weekend filled with lots of hands-on experience. The staff were super knowledgeable and excited to educate. I felt they really cared about my learning.”

We are proud to be offering an exclusive with the Peter Emily International Veterinary Dentistry Foundation this spring and fall. This exclusive opportunity will be limited to three to four participants for each date. This is an opportunity to provide financial support to the Peter Emily International Veterinary Dentistry Foundation and learn from their expertise in the dental care of big cats and primates (depending on location). Your tuition also includes a donation to your host organization.

You will expect to be on-site at the big cat or primate center for a full work day Saturday and Sunday with the dentists from the PEIVDF in order to shadow their procedures on big cats.  Observation is limited to three or four Loop Abroad students depending on location.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions and observe procedures up-close. If you like, you may join the veterinarians for lunch and/or dinner to talk about the cases, ask questions, and learn about their work in human and animal dentistry.

Spring Session 1: Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5, 2024: Big Cats. Exotic Feline Rescue Center in Center Point, Indiana. Four participants.

Fall Session 1: Saturday, Sept 21 and Sunday, Sept 22, 2024: Primates. Peaceable Primate Sanctuary in Winimac, Indiana. Four participants.
